Chief Financial Officer
Roland is Castel’s Chief Financial officer and his responsibilities include all financial reporting, business planning and treasury for Castel and its cells.
Roland qualified as a chartered accountant with Littlejohn Frazer (now PKF Littlejohn), before moving into the insurance industry. In 2012, he joined the Barbican Insurance Group as the Group’s financial controller before taking up the role of Finance Director for Castel and Barbican’s other intermediary companies in 2014. In 2016, Roland joined Castel’s board of directors.
Outside of work, Roland enjoys running, cycling and following Welsh rugby.
Tom began his career in 2007 with Littlejohn (now PKF Littlejohn) in Canary Wharf working on a wide range of clients including Lloyd’s syndicates and insurance brokers.
He achieved his ACA qualification in December 2009 and subsequently joined Barbican Insurance Group in April 2013 as Group Accountant.
At Castel, Tom controls the MGA’s finance function.
Outside of work, Tom enjoys playing squash, following Arsenal and travelling.
Credit Controller & Treasury Assistant
Prity works in the finance team and prior to joining Castel worked as a Credit Controller for insurance brokers for six years and finance administrator for seven years before that.
Outside of work Prity enjoys spending time with family and friends, keeping fit, helping organise charity events and travelling.
Hannah started her career in insurance in 2013 after completing a degree in Geography with European Study at the University of Exeter. She joined the Barbican Insurance Group as a Group Accounts Assistant, achieving her CIMA qualification and working her way up to Financial Accountant in 2017.
She joined Castel in October 2019 as Finance Manager.
Outside of work Hannah enjoys running and playing netball.
Stephen began his career at Danish Re Syndicates in 2006 working within Syndicate 1400 which would later become part of Alterra at Lloyds Limited based in London completing numerous tasks within the purchase ledger function and assisting with syndicate accounts.
Stephen most recently being the management accountant for Lloyds cover holder Easy Broking Online.
Outside of work, Stephen enjoys cinema, American football and watching Arsenal.
Max left sixth form in 2020 where he studied Business, Media and an EPQ with a goal of getting an apprenticeship in accounting. He recently joined Castel in October 2020 where he had been given the chance to start his career.
Outside of work Max likes to play Golf and following and supporting West Ham United.
Ella started her career when she joined Castel in September 2020 as a finance apprentice, prior to this she had studied Business as well as the AAT qualification during her time at sixth form.
Outside of work Ella enjoys seeing friends and family, reading and travelling.
